3rd Annual Conference for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CRASSH)

Are you an undergraduate interested in the Arts, Social Sciences, or Humanities?  Then consider presenting your research at the UCSD Undergraduate Conference for Research in the Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities (CRASSH) to be held on Friday, February 19 from 10am to 3:30pm at the Institute of the Americas. The purpose of this conference is to promote and recognize research being conducted in the arts, humanities, and social sciences, with particular emphasis on encouraging undergraduates to pursue research in these fields.

The Conference will consist two parts: 1) a plenary session in the morning at which alumni and faculty will speak and 2) an afternoon session at which undergraduates will present their research.  Representatives from UCSD departments in the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities will also be present to talk about their programs.  The talks and student presentations are free and open to the public.

We are also currently looking for undergraduates who would like to present at the conference.  The presentations may be posters, artwork, or performances.  The projects do not need to be completed by the day of the conference, just complete enough to share with others and open a dialog about your research.  All student presenters will receive a certificate of participation.
If you are interested in participating as a presenter you may register here and if you would like to attend as a member of the audience register here.  Food will be provided the day of the conference, and all participants will receive a gift bag.   There is no charge to present or attend the conference, but registration is required.
CRASSH is organized by Academic Enrichment Programs, with the support of Student Affairs and the Office of Research Affairs.
If you are interested in participating or for more information, please see the Conference website ( or contact the conference coordinator, Candace Wo at or (858) 534-5791.

We look forward to seeing you in February!
