Are you an undergraduate working on a research project in the Arts, Social Sciences, or Humanities? Then consider presenting your project at the Undergraduate Conference for Research in the Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities (CRASSH) to be held on November 20 from 10am to 2pm at the UCSD Price Center.
We are currently looking for undergraduates who would like to present at the conference. The presentations may be posters, artwork, or performances. The projects do not need to be completed by the day of the conference, just complete enough to share with others and open a dialog about your research. The purpose of this conference is to promote and recognize research being conducted at UCSD in the arts, humanities, and social sciences, with particular emphasis on encouraging undergraduates to pursue research in these fields. There is no charge to present at or attend the conference
If you are interested in partcipating, you may register here: https://cur-server.ucsd.edu/machform/view.php?id=61746.
Students who present will be entered into a drawing for a new iPad Air! All student presenters will receive a certificate of participation. Food will be provided the day of the conference.
The Conference will consist two parts: 1) a plenary session in the morning at which alumni and faculty will speak and 2) an afternoon session at which UCSD undergraduates will present their research. Student presentations may consist of posters, works of art, or performances. All of the UCSD community will be welcome to attend the talks and student presentations. We will also invite local community college students to attend the conference as audience members in order to encourage them to apply to UCSD.
This CRASSH is organized by Academic Enrichment Programs, with the support of Student Affairs and the Office of Research Affairs.
If you are interested in participating or for more information, please contact the conference coordinator, Karen Van Ness at email@example.com or (858) 534-5791.
We look forward to seeing you in November!
